*OPENING OF BEIJING OLYMPICS 2008*
I've spent myself entirely today. This morning's cross-country cum National Day celebration was a great sucess. The school even manage to invite mediacorp artiste Benjamin Heng over to sing some community songs with us. :) I really had loads of fun and I want to thank everyone who has played a part in making my day today. :)
The class lunch was also a wonderful experience with a black (witch) cat joining us for lunch. Lots of jokes were cracked and Mingquan even personified the cat and told it to leave him alone as he was eating... :) I want to SPECIALLY THANK MR ONG for buying us delicious Nasi Lemak for lunch. :)All and all, thank you all.
The trip down to Sun-dac with Lyon was really enjoyable and it also allowed me to look at things from another perspective. Someone once said that those who are less able than us do not need our sympathy and I agree. What they need is our admiration and respect because they do not feel depressed and upset but rather they are living their lives more positively than any of us. I also met some wonderful people like Christina and Jon. They're really very sweet people. [OKAY, any cotton candy and/or caramel jokes? :)]
Abraham Lincoln once said: "In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years." Bob Dole also said:" When it is all over, it is not who you were. It is whether you made a difference." I think I've done that today and I'll give myself a pat on the head for that.
